project description
Two-story, 15,000 sf office, restaurant and retail sales building. Construction consists of plywood sheathing over timber beams and girders supported by timber columns. The seismic retrofit included the installation of plywood sheathed shear walls principally at the building perimeter, a steel moment-resisting frame and seismic collector and connection strengthening. Foundations were added or widened where necessary. The retrofit was designed and constructed to permit the 2nd Floor to remain occupied.
