project description
4-story, 15,000 sf residence with basement; building is wood-framed. Work scope included alterations to correct floor support deficiencies and various interior alterations/renovations including new entry stairs. A complete seismic upgrade of the residence was conducted which included plywood shear walls, a field-bolted moment- resisting steel frame at the front entry and exterior shotcrete at the chimneys along the south elevation. The renovations and retrofit was accomplished with minimal impact to exterior design.
