RCG has been engaged by the Owner to provide various engineering services at the Ferry Building. We designed a fall-restraint system for the Tower (to facilitate changing of lights and flags) in compliance with safety requirements of Cal-OSHA; the system included anchors and cables within the Tower starting at the clock and proceeding to the cupola at the very top. The design was reviewed and approved by the Port of SF. Additionally we developed a post-earthquake inspection plan, coordinated with the Port of San Francisco, for the Ferry Building as a part of the SFDBI Building Occupancy Resumption Program.
